WELCOME TO MORAY GIRLS FOOTBALL CLUB
The history of Moray Girls Football Club, Scotland

Welcome to the Official Website of Moray Girls Football Club.  Moray girls FC was founded in 1991, and is the only girls club in the Moray and Highland area. We currently run 3 girls teams that are affiliated to the Scottish Women's Football Association (SWF), all of whom play on Saturday Mornings in the North Regional Girls Football League. Our home games are played at Cooper Park and Pinefield Playing Fields in Elgin, which have changing facilities and toilets at each venue, and a grass area to train in the lighter months. At the moment, winter training is indoors at various locations in Elgin.

Our aim is to promote the playing and enjoyment of football for women and girls throughout the community of Moray. Therefore, anyone that has an interest in playing football is welcome no matter what ability or experience they have. We will aim to provide a platform for local girls to improve their football skills, ability, communication and teamwork. We want to encourage girls to have a positive attitude to both football and life, free from prejudice, discrimination or bigotry. We want to create a club that can be the pride of the area where the girl's development is the focus of all our efforts and where both children and parents associated with the club are proud to be involved.

With this in view, the club is currently going through the SFA Quality Mark Scheme. This scheme is a new Scottish FA Youth Action Plan initiative that helps to support and sustain the grassroots football provided by Schools and Youth Clubs. This will help develop a more robust structure, as the club requires to complete 5 components: Management; Administration; Coach & Player Development; Planning and Welfare.

Please have a look around our site and feel free to contact us about anything. If you would like to join one of the teams, please contact us, quoting your date of birth, and the appropriate coach will contact you directly.

Thank you to everyone for your continued support and good luck to all our teams.
